Which SOOTHEORY shampoo bar is right for my dog?

Choose according to what your dog needs most from bath time. The Oatmeal Soother is designed for skin and coats that feel dry or delicate after bathing. The Forest Cleanse is made for post-adventure dirt, grass smell, and outdoor mess. The Charcoal Odor Bar helps wash away odor-causing dirt and excess oil. Not sure where to begin? What is the difference between the three shampoo bars?

Each bar supports a distinct bath-time need: sensitive comfort, post-adventure cleansing, or odor and excess-oil cleansing. They are not simply different colors or fragrance options of the same product.

Can I use more than one SOOTHEORY bar?

Yes. A dog’s needs can change with the season, activity level, and time between baths. Use the single formula that best fits the current bath rather than combining multiple bars at the same time.

Which bar is best for a dog with sensitive skin?

The Oatmeal Soother is the gentlest starting point for dogs whose skin or coat feels dry or easily bothered after bathing. SOOTHEORY is a grooming product, not a treatment for allergies, infections, hot spots, or other medical conditions. Consult a veterinarian about persistent or severe symptoms.

Which bar is best for dog odor?

The Charcoal Odor Bar is designed for coats that become oily or develop a noticeable dog smell between baths. It helps wash away odor-causing dirt and excess oil rather than covering odor with a heavy fragrance. Persistent or unusual odor should be discussed with a veterinarian.

Does The Forest Cleanse repel fleas, ticks, or mosquitoes?

No. The Forest Cleanse is a post-adventure cleansing bar for dirt, grass smell, and outdoor mess. It is not a flea, tick, or mosquito treatment and should not replace a veterinarian-recommended parasite prevention product.

Are SOOTHEORY shampoo bars soap-free?

SOOTHEORY formulas are being developed as soap-free dog shampoo bars using mild cleansing ingredients rather than traditional high-pH soap. The final claim will be confirmed against the completed production formula before launch.

Are SOOTHEORY shampoo bars pH-balanced for dogs?

Our development target is a finished pH of 6.5–7.5. Final pH information will be published after the production formula has been tested and verified.

What ingredients do you avoid?

Our formulation standards exclude SLS, SLES, parabens, silicones, artificial colors, tea tree oil, and harsh industrial fragrance. The complete ingredient list for every final formula will be disclosed on its product page and packaging.

Do SOOTHEORY bars contain essential oils?

Some formulas may use a very low level of carefully selected botanical scent, while sensitive options may be fragrance-free or minimally scented. Final fragrance and essential-oil details will be confirmed on each ingredient list before launch.

Are the bars safe if my dog licks them?

SOOTHEORY bars are rinse-off grooming products and are not made to be eaten or intentionally licked. Prevent chewing, avoid the mouth and eyes during bathing, and rinse the coat thoroughly. Contact a veterinarian if a significant amount is swallowed or an unusual reaction occurs.

Can I use SOOTHEORY on puppies?

Puppy suitability and the minimum recommended age will be confirmed after final formula assessment. Until then, consult your veterinarian before using a new grooming product on a young dog.

Can SOOTHEORY shampoo bars be used on cats?

No. SOOTHEORY shampoo bars are being developed and labeled for dogs only. Cats have different grooming behaviors and sensitivities, so dog grooming products should not be used on them unless the final label specifically states otherwise.

What should I do if my dog has a reaction?

Stop using the product and rinse the coat thoroughly with clean water. Contact your veterinarian if redness, discomfort, vomiting, unusual behavior, or another reaction develops. Keep the packaging and ingredient list available for reference.

How do I use a dog shampoo bar?

Thoroughly wet your dog’s coat and the bar. Work the bar between wet hands or inside a lather bag, then massage the foam through the coat from neck to tail. Avoid the eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. Rinse thoroughly and place the bar on a well-draining surface to dry.

Should I rub the shampoo bar directly on my dog?

You can gently glide the wet bar over the coat, but creating lather in your hands or with a lather bag gives you more control. Avoid repeated rubbing on delicate, irritated, or broken skin.

How often should I bathe my dog?

Bathing frequency depends on coat type, activity level, skin condition, and veterinary guidance. Pay attention to how your dog’s skin and coat respond rather than following one schedule for every dog.

How long does one SOOTHEORY shampoo bar last?

Bar life depends on your dog’s size, coat length, bathing frequency, and storage. An estimated wash count will be published after final testing across different dog sizes and coat types.

How should I store the shampoo bar?

Keep the bar on a dry, well-draining soap dish away from standing water and direct shower spray. Allow air to circulate around it before placing it in a travel tin or enclosed container.

Will the bar create a rich lather?

The bars are being developed to create a creamy, easy-rinsing lather with wet hands or a mesh lather bag. Final lather and rinse performance will be confirmed during product testing.

What is SOOTHEORY’s packaging made from?

Each bar is designed to arrive in a paper drawer-style retail box. We are evaluating biodegradable inner-wrap options, while shipping materials are planned around paper boxes and paper-based protective fill.

Is SOOTHEORY packaging plastic-free?

Our goal is to minimize unnecessary plastic and use paper-first packaging wherever practical. We will not describe the packaging as completely plastic-free until every component, coating, adhesive, and shipping material has been verified.

How are orders shipped?

Delivery destinations, processing times, shipping estimates, and tracking information will be published on our Orders & Shipping page before orders open.

What is your return policy?

Our final Returns & Exchanges policy will explain eligibility, time limits, and the conditions for unopened and opened grooming products before orders open.

Care with clarity

Sometimes the right answer is more than a bath.

When to ask your veterinarian

Persistent redness, severe itching, open skin, hair loss, unusual odor, or a sudden reaction may need professional care rather than another grooming product.
